I purchased the red poppy colored lipstick from AVON and have never owned a lipstick before. The red poppy color is very rich warm red. In certain lighting, it made my lips look a funny orange. Very smooth application, I thought the little AVON logo printed into the base of the lipstick looked cute. If you only apply it once all day, color remains even with chap stick or lip gloss applications. Do not buy the poppy color unless you are going for a ‘30-’40’s style lip color; it’s a very intense, second look worthy spicy red color. Five stars for meeting my expectations, good lip color stain remained after many hours from original application. Worth the $1.99, (and the $5.95 shipping I paid when I ordered it).
