Why are we becoming so obsessed about cosmetics??

Long ago, there was no such thing as foundation, deodorant, wrinkle creams, fragrance, etc. Today, it seems like people just can’t live without certain products. Why can’t we all just be natural?? I mean, so what if I don’t smell like some chemical-derived concoction? Or if I have a wrinkle on my face? And don’t we all realize how dangerous it is to be putting all of these chemical-laden products on our innocent bodies? We must remember that our bodies are similar to sponges: it absorbs 60% of what we put on it. The chemicals it absorbs then go directly into your BLOODSTREAM which then goes into your liver and other organs.
Being that so many NEW cosmetics with NEW CHEMICALS come out into the market every year, and that the FDA does NOT ASSESS THE SAFETY OF COSMETICS, then WHY would we mindlessly put whatever we want to on our bodies??
Why can’t we just be NATURAL?
And we wonder why cancer rates are rising even though cancer research has been growing.
WHY TREAT OURSELVES LIKE LAB RATS?
WE DON’T HAVE TO BE A PART OF THEIR EXPERIMENTS AND SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES SUCH AS CANER! STOP WEARING COSMETICS!!
